The political consultative conference committees from the four provincial-level regions in the Yangtze River Delta carried out an inspection tour in Qingpu district of Shanghai, Wujiang district of Jiangsu and Jiashan County of Zhejiang on the development of the demonstration zone of green and integrated ecological development.
The committee members inspected the integrated system innovation exhibition hall of the demonstration zone, the Huawei Qingpu R&D center, the demonstration section of the Huanyuandang ecological shoreline connectivity project, Innosecco (Suzhou) Semiconductor Co., Ltd., the unified river chief system of Fenhu Lake and Yaozhuang Project of Jiashan.
At a symposium held during the inspection tour, the heads of the local committee of the CPPCC from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui agreed that upgrading the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta into a national strategy is an important decision made by the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at the core.
The executive committee of the demonstration zone and the local CPC Committees have joined hands to step up their efforts and strengthen coordination over the past one year and a half so that major investment projects are making headway, new breakthroughs have been made in the innovation of unified administration mechanism and the local people have enhanced their sense of gain.
Huang Lixin, chairwoman of the Jiangsu provincial CPPCC committee, said Jiangsu will carry out the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta as a national strategy and strengthen the awareness of promoting the construction of the demonstration zone.
She also urged further efforts to give a strong impetus to innovation-powered development and make new breakthroughs in reform with the support of investment projects and the perfection of mechanism guarantee so that the construction of the demonstration zone will be accelerated.
