On the afternoon of May 27, China·Huai'an (Shanghai) Promotion Conference on Economic and Trade Cooperation was held in Shanghai International Conference Center. Nearly 400 people were invited to attend the event, including provincial and municipal leaders, representatives of overseas institutions, entrepreneurs, respectable townsmen and Huai'an Business Alliance, as well as heads of relevant Shanghai universities and institutes. They came to the conference to discuss the development plans and cooperation platforms, and to draw a beautiful blueprint for the integrated development of Shanghai and Huai'an.
At the promotion meeting, 38 projects were signed and settled in Huai'an, including the Integration Project of Shenzhen Energy Storage with an investment of 3.5 billion yuan, the Minth Demonstration Base Project of Modern Agriculture of 2.2 billion yuan, and the Sanlian Differentiated Blended Fiber Spinning Project of 1.16 billion yuan. The total investment of the projects is 29.67 billion yuan, including foreign investment of 235 million dollars.
A launch ceremony of the Global Huai'an Business Alliance was also carried out. Initiated by the Huai'an Chamber of Commerce, the Alliance is composed of Huai'an fellowship organizations and business chambers in more than 80 countries and regions, such as the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom, as well as Huai'an chambers from more than 20 provinces and cities in China, such as Shanghai and Beijing. It consists of more than 20,000 Huai'an businessmen who are engaged in business development at home and abroad. With the aim of "making Huai'an businessmen stronger and city's development better", the Alliance will be devoted to building a communication bridge between Huai'an and the outside world, and to providing services in attracting investment and talents.
