Nanjing hosted the finals of the Overseas Talent Entrepreneurship Competition on Monday.
30 entrepreneurial teams competed through online and offline roadshows, and the winners are expected to receive a maximum of 3.5 million yuan in project funding. More than 300 talents from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and other countries signed up for the competition. Through the selection of four sub-regions around the world, 30 contestants entered the finals, and the shortlisted projects focused on high-end equipment manufacturing, bio-medicine, new materials and other leading industries in Nanjing. The competition will produce 4 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 10 third prizes with the trophy running up to 30,000 yuan, 20,000 yuan and 10,000 yuan respectively. The Overseas Talent Entrepreneurship Competition has been held for nine consecutive years. 88 winners have been funded by Nanjing’s Key Talent Introduction Program, and more than 100 winners have launched their business startups in Nanjing.
