From January to May 2021, the added value of industries above scale in Huai'an increased by 24.2% year-on-year. By economic type, the added value of state-owned industry grew by 24.4%, collective industry by 28.4%, joint-stock industry by 24.1%, industry with foreign investment (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) by 23.7%, and other industries by 44.7% at a faster growth rate.
As for the city's industrial output value above scale, it rose by 39.1% year-on-year, continuing to maintain a relatively rapid development.
Besides, 5.581 billion kilowatt hours of industrial electricity consumption were completed (an increase of 41.7%), achieving a growth rate of 0.2 percentage points compared with the period from January to April.
