On July 7, the domestic garbage classification public science education center near Wuxi Jiangnan Art Kindergarten officially opened.
Jointly built by Jingui Sub-district, the Liangxi District Bureau of Urban Management and the Liangxi District Department of Environmental Sanitation, the center covers a total construction area of 142.48 square meters with a small square covering a total area of 220 square meters. It was rebuilt from idle and abandoned public service houses. The center has a public science education zone, an autonomous reading zone, an interactive game zone, a training exchange zone and an outdoor experience zone and is equipped with modern teaching equipment such as projectors, TVs, stereos and science robots. Picture books for garbage classification and the throwing game attracted many children.
According to the person in charge of Jingui Sub-district, the public science education center is open to citizens for free. In addition, professional social groups will be invited to give two public welfare lectures on garbage classification every week. Cheap and specialized garbage classification training services and thematic events will be provided for organizations in need.
