CPPCC members from Jiangsu province went on an inspection tour in Yancheng city to make investigations on the coastal development strategy under the new development paradigm. Huang Lixin, chairwoman of the the CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, headed the inspection tour.
When visiting Dongtai Tiaozini Ecological Wetland and Huanghai Forest Park located in the World Natural Heritage-Yancheng Yellow Sea Wetland, Huang Lixin ans the CPPCC members were briefed on the wetland protection and ecological construction, and praised Yancheng for its remarkable achievements in adhering to ecological priority and green development.
During the inspection of Dafeng Goldwind Technology's Lingang Plant and SK New Energy (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., the CPPCC members made detailed inquiry into the production and operation and technological research and development, encouraging the enterprises to continuously enhance their technological innovation capabilities and promote new breakthroughs in industrial development.
When visiting Dafeng Port, the CPPCC members spoke highly of the port’s efforts to continuously improve the integrated layout of the sea and river transportation, hoping that the port will further play its important role as a sea channel and logistics platform.
When chairing a symposium, Huang Lixin said General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized the need to promote the construction of China's maritime power to continuously achieve new results.
She said that the provincial party committee and the provincial government have attached great importance to a new round of coastal development. The coastal areas must seize development opportunities, highlight the acceleration of high-quality development of coastal areas, give full play to their characteristics and advantages, and ensure that the coastal areas will become the new growth engine for the province’s high-quality development.
