Whenever short adverts popping up on computers, they’ll have many consumers furious. In July, the Jiangsu Provincial Consumer Rights Protection Committee issued a survey report on PC-side application of software pop-up advertising windows. The results showed that the content of the pop-up advertising windows violated regulations and the high frequency of pop-ups have become commonplace. On Tuesday, the Provincial Consumer Rights Protection Committee summoned the software companies that develop and imbed the pop-ups for a face-to-face meeting.
According to an experiential survey of 30 software by the Jiangsu Provincial Consumer Protection Committee, online pop-ups are found in 11 software downloaded through official channels.

Tencent, 360, and Sogou said they will actively rectify pop-up ads, and some companies have already come up with rectification and optimization plans.
