During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, public institutions in Jiangsu have achieved remarkable progress in energy conservation and consumption reduction. As of 2020, the province's per capita comprehensive energy consumption, unit building area energy consumption, and per capita water consumption had dropped by 36.91%, 19.00%, and 38.04% respectively from the figures in 2015, ranking in the forefront of the national comprehensive assessment.
