A group of international students from 31 countries, including the United States, Russia, France, South Korea, Japan, and Nigeria attended a photography activity in Yancheng, Jiangsu province, which was held from Oct 22 to 24.
The expats visited places such as Tiaozini Wetland, Dongtai Huanghai Forest Park Scenic Area, and Dafeng Milu National Nature Reserve, enjoyed the view of the sunrise above the mud flats, took photos of migrant birds and milu deer, and explored the culture and protection of wetlands in Yancheng.
Tiaozini Wetland, located in the coastal area of Dongtai, Yancheng, is a core area of the Yancheng Yellow Sea wetland. It is not only a marine economic zone for human, but also a paradise for migrant birds.
"It's magnificent! I will tell my friends what I have seen and heard, and urge them to visit Yancheng," said Jigeer Sailimuhan, a Kazakh student.
Peruvian student Maria Fe Celi Reyna said it was a miracle when she learned that the Dongtai Huanghai Forest Park Scenic Area, the largest manmade ecological forest park in East China, was built on barren saline land. The 45.33-square-kilometer forest is like a green belt along the coast of Yellow Sea.
"The natural heritage of the Yellow Sea wetland is internationally renowned," said US student Joshua David Brading, before revealing that he would urge his friends to visit Yancheng.
