The city of Changzhou in east China’s Jiangsu province reported 4 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, a press conference said Wednesday afternoon.
Four people tested positive in the nucleic acid tests, according to the press conference held by the Changzhou Municipal Government.
3 of them were confirmed cases and 1 was asymptomatic. They have been sent to a designated hospital for treatment.
As of one o’clock Wednesday afternoon, local authorities had traced 629 close contacts and 1268 sub-close contacts. 922 people had been quarantined and 74471 people were found to be related.
Of all the samplings taken, 37293 were tested negative with the results of more samplings to be released. 74630 square meters have been disinfected.

All the people in the school where the close contacts and sub-close contacts are located have been required to be isolated at home. All primary and secondary schools in Changzhou have been ordered to suspend offline teaching and switched to online teaching.
Check points have been set up at the airport, railway station, wharf, expressways and highways.
Those who want to leave Changzhou will be asked to present a nucleic acid test report showing they are negative.
