Wu Zhenglong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Xu Kunlin, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Acting Governor, met with Huawei’s rotating chairman Xu Zhijun in Nanjing on Sunday.
Wu Zhenglong and Xu Kunlin expressed their gratitude to Huawei for its important contributions to Jiangsu's economic and social development over the years, and conveyed their regards to Mr. Ren Zhengfei, founder of Huawei.
Wu Zhenglong said that Huawei is a leader in the global information and communications industry, the pride of China, and the pride of a national brand, adding that we are proud of Huawei's outstanding performance in overcoming difficulties.
The CPC provincial chief said that starting a new journey in the new stage of development, Jiangsu will bear in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, follow the deployment of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, take innovation as the primary driving force and talents as the primary resource, and give full play to the role of the real economy and the digital economy, and make greater efforts to build an independent and controllable modern industrial system.
He hoped that on the basis of the fruitful results achieved in the past cooperation, the two parties will more closely integrate their respective needs and strengths, and strengthen the core competitiveness of the industrial chain and supply chain, deepen all-round cooperation in enhancing the core competitiveness of the industrial chain supply chain, technological innovation, green economy, low-carbon economy, digital economy, digital government, and smart society construction, work hand in hand for mutual benefit and win-win so as to provide more powerful support for services to build a new development pattern, promote high-quality development, and achieve high-efficiency governance.
Xu Zhijun said that Huawei always regards Jiangsu as the most important industrial layout and innovation source, and the two sides have continued to promote the breadth and depth of cooperation, adding that Huawei will continue to increase investment in Jiangsu, deepen all-round cooperation in various fields, and better assist Jiangsu's high-quality development.
