Dushu Lake No. 2 Tunnel
The main structure of Dushu Lake No. 2 Tunnel, part of Suzhou international fast logistic route project, was finished recently.
The 3.33-kilometer tunnel starts from Dongfang Avenue, passes through Dushu Lake toward the east, and connects Chuangyuan Road in SIP.
The trip from Science and Education Innovation District, SIP to Guoxiang, Wuzhong District is expected to be shortened from 30 minutes to 5 minutes.

The tunnel will undergo installation of equipment and decoration soon, and is scheduled to open to traffic this year.
Medicine Price Slashed
The prices of medicines selected through the second round of the centralized drug-procurement program of Jiangsu province have been slashed by up to 90 percent across Suzhou starting January 1. The 12 bid-winning drugs are used to treat such diseases as infection, phlebothrombosis, cerebral edema, cerebrovascular circulatory disturbance, etc.
It is known that 172 public and military medical institutions in the city participate in this round of procurement, which will save RMB31.56 million yuan this year.
