An original opera eulogizing China’s late premier Zhou Enlai premiered Saturday in Huai’an city to unleash the national tour show.
In the form of an aria, this two-hour opera shows several historical scenes of "turning crisis into opportunity" in Premier Zhou Enlai's life.
The opera has created an image of the premier of a major country who is wise, tenacious, diligent for the people, and insists on independence.
The melodious singing, magnificent music, and exciting plot made the audience enjoy an amazing cultural feast in the echo of real time and space.
The first version of the opera "Zhou Enlai" premiered at the Yan'an Grand Theater on October 15, 2019. In the following 3 years, the production team made several modifications to ensure a qualitative improvement in the script, aria, and interpretation.
The opera will go on a national tour show in Beijing, Tianjin and Shaoxing where Zhou Enlai lived or worked.
