5231 sets of trains will be running on the railway tracks across the country with 96 sets added to the new train operating plan that went into effect on Monday.
New rapid trains on the China-Laos Railway began operating on Monday to improve logistics efficiency and boost international trade.
According to China Railway Kunming Group, it takes only 26 hours for a train to go from Kunming, Yunnan province, to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. The first rapid train — capable of 120 kilometers per hour — set off on Monday at 11:30 am. It will deliver flowers and vegetables.
The rapid trains are available on the new line twice a week, with future frequency adjusted based on market demand. 28 sets of trains will be running on the Kunming-Mohan Section of China-Laos Railway.
100 sets of trains will be operated on the Ganzhou-Shenzhen Section of the Beijing-Hong Kong High Speed Rail.
24 sets of trains will be operated on the Anqing-Kowloon Section of the Beijing-Hong Kong High Speed Rail.
28 sets of trans will be running on the high speed railway connecting Zhangjiajie, Jieshou and Huaihua in west Hunan Province.
The Mudanjiang-Jiamusi high speed railway will see the operation of 18 sets of trains.
35 sets of trains will be traveling on the Hangzhou-Taizhou high speed railway.
23 sets of high speed trains will connect Rizhao city in Shandong province and Lankao city in Henan province.
