The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress reviewed the provincial government's annual tasks for livelihood issues at a meeting held on Thursday.
Present at the meeting were deputy Directors Li Xiaomin, Chen Zhenning, Xu Zhongzi, Ma Qiulin, Xing Chunning, Liu Handong, Wei Guoqiang, Qu Futian and Secretary General Chen Mengmeng.
Deputy Director Wang Yanwen presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
Fan Jinlong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, attended the meeting.
Fei Gaoyun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor, also attended the meeting.
Eight members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress and the deputies to the Provincial People's Congress made comments. Members of the Standing Committee conducted evaluations on 17 departments.
Fei Gaoyun said that the provincial government will adopt the opinions and suggestions of the members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress and the deputies to the Provincial People's Congress, study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on people's livelihood and important instructions on Jiangsu’s work, effectively solve the urgent needs of people's livelihood, and promote joint construction and sharing of reform and development achievements.
Wang Yanwen asked the provincial government and relevant departments to continuously enhance their political stance, conscientiously implement the relevant policies and requirements of the central and provincial party committees, and further improve the government's work on livelihood issues, so as to continuously improve people's well-being with tangible results.
