The Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China held a meeting on Monday to study General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on party building, formulate implementation measures for Jiangsu, and implement the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on carrying out research work on party building are of great concern to the fundamental responsibilities, major missions, primary tasks, main directions, and scientific methods of party building in the new era, according to a statement released after the meeting.
The publicity, research, and interpretation of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era are the top priorities of current and future work, making it necessary to give full play to the role of the Provincial Research Center of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era, bring into full play the achievements of party history learning and education, and continuously deepen the regular understanding, systematic awareness, and forward-looking thinking of party building, the statement said.
We must closely integrate the study of General Secretary’s important instructions with the practice of Jiangsu, and resolutely fulfill the political responsibility of comprehensively and strictly governing the party, said the statement.
We must strengthen political construction, enhance theoretical empowerment, select officials in a more scientific way, build strong fighting fortresses, strengthen party discipline and anti-corruption, deepen research and interpretation of major theoretical and practical issues, strive to produce important research results and provide more powerful theoretical support and intellectual support for promoting the new great project of party building in the new era, according to the statement.
The provincial leadership also heard the party group work report of the Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, the Provincial Government, the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, the Provincial Court, and the Provincial Procuratorate.
In the past year, all party groups have adhered to the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era, implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions and the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee, and the work arrangements of the 14th Provincial Party Congress and the Provincial Party Committee, performed their duties with due diligence and responsibility, and made important contributions to the reform, development and stability of the people's livelihood, the statement said.
All party groups must bear in mind the General Secretary’s instructions, implement the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era, and work hard to write a new chapter in the modernization of Jiangsu in accordance with the work arrangements of the Provincial Party Congress and the Provincial Party Committee, and take practical actions to welcome the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with practical actions, said the statement.
Efforts should be made to enhance political stance, gain a deep understanding of the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, according to the statement.
Measures should be taken to improve the work on public complaints and proposals and united front work by following General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions so as to create a stable and healthy economic environment, a social environment of national security and public security, and a clean and upright political environment, and continuously improve the level of scientific, standardized and institutionalized united front work, said the statement.
Greater efforts should be made to promote the further promotion of the high quality development in the Yangtze River Delta in a bid to stabilize economic growth, promote the in-depth integration and development of the technology industry, promote a higher level of coordinated opening, strengthen the joint protection and governance of the ecological environment, and improve people's livelihood, co-construction and sharing, and make greater contributions to the country’s development by ensuring that the Yangtze River Delta serve as a national economic ballast, a source of power for development, and a test field for reform, the statement said.
