11 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 4 asymptomatic COVID-19 cases had been reported in Suzhou as of two Tuesday afternoon, the city’s health commission said at a press conference. The COVID-19 cases are being treated at a designated hospital.
As of two Tuesday afternoon, three more confirmed cases were reported, the health commission said. 4.79 million nucleic acid testing samples had been collected with 2.33 million reports issued.
Suzhou has so far marked off 58 containment zones, control zones and prevention zones.
Six sites have been upgraded into medium risk areas.
Suzhou is continuing to carry out epidemiological investigation and tracing. It has also closed 15 highway toll gates to prevent transmission of the infection to other regions.
In the meantime, one COVID-19 case was reported in Nantong while two COVID-19 cases were reported in Wuxi.
