Members of the national committee of the CPPCC from Jiangsu province held a meeting Sunday evening in Beijing to study General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech he delivered on Sunday when joining in group deliberation with deputies from the medical and health and education sectors at the fourth session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
In her speech, Zhang Yizhen said that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech is far-sighted, profound, and sincere with rich connotation, which makes us more educated, inspired and more confident.
She asked the CPPCC at all levels in the province to study General Secretary Xi Jinping’s latest important speech so as to enhance political stance, gain a deep understanding of the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
Zhang Yizhen emphasized that the "five strategic favorable conditions" for China's development proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping have raised the understanding of the development law of socialism with Chinese characteristics to a new height, adding that implementing the rural revitalization strategy and promoting the high-quality development of social security is of great importance in the overall work of the party and the country.
She asked the CPPCC members to give full play to their own advantages and expertise to offer advice on promoting the high-quality development of rural revitalization and social security, strengthening the supply of important agricultural products, improving the comprehensive agricultural production capacity, and emphasizing the in-depth implementation of the strategy of food crop production strategy based on farmland management and technological application.
Zhang also hoped that the CPPCC members would further enhance their sense of responsibility and mission as members of the CPPCC National Committee, perform their duties for more proactive work.
Ma Jianguo, Member of the National Committee of the CPPCC and Vice Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, spoke at the meeting. Ma is also Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Zhigong Party.
Sun Libin, Xu Dayong, Zhang Keyun, Bi Feiyu, Wang Honghong, Xin Cheng, Zhang Fenglin, all members of the National Committee of the CPPCC gave speeches on establishing a big food concept, cultivating a healthy catering culture, strengthening rural social governance and improving the social security system.
