East China’s Jiangsu province will continue to optimize the supply of public services in the 14th five-year plan period, according to a press conference held Tuesday by the provincial government.
According to the "14th Five-Year" Public Service Plan" and 2021 Edition of the Basic Public Service Implementation Standards, Jiangsu has identified the main areas of basic public services to better meet the needs of our province and the growing needs of the people for a better life.
Jiangsu will strengthen the standardization of public services by focusing on rural areas, underdeveloped areas and the grassroots communities and accelerate the promotion of basic public services to make up for the weaknesses, promote balance, improve quality, and continue to improve the level of equalization of basic public services.
Jiangsu will also focus on childcare, elderly care, education, and medical care, coordinate the role of a promising government and an effective market, and continue to expand the supply of inclusive non-essential public services.
Jiangsu has also clarified the basic public service items and standards guaranteed by governments at all levels that come in 90 items of 31 categories in total so as to ensure that people clearly know what level and content of basic public services they can enjoy, and the sense of acquisition is more sustainable.
