Multiple types of COVID-19 antigen self-testing kits have been approved for sale in China, which allows for easy tests at home, and produces results as quickly as 10-15 minutes.

According to experts, antigen testing is helpful for the early detection of infections and can be used as a supplement to current testing methods, but it cannot replace nucleic acid testing.
