People gaining entry into their residential quarters and workplaces in Pukou, Luhe, Lishui and Gaochun districts of Nanjing will not be required to show their negative nucleic acid test certificate valid within 48 hours, Nanjing Health Commission said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
Negative nucleic acid test certificate valid within 48 hours will still be required for people in 8 other districts who gain entry into their residential quarters and workplaces, said Ding Xiaoping, a senior official with the city’s health commission at the daily briefing on epidemic prevention and control.
The 8 districts are Jiangbei New Area, Xuanwu, Qinhuai, Jianye, Drum Tower, Qixia, Yuhuatai, and Jiangning.
People who live in Pukou, Luhe, Lishui and Gaochun districts but work in the 8 other districts will continue to show their negative nucleic acid test certificate valid within 48 hours when gaining entry into their workplaces.
The risk of virus transmission in Nanjing has been basically brought under control through several rounds of nucleic acid testing in the previous days, said Ding.
He cautioned that people should comply with the regulations for epidemic prevention and control, strengthen personal protection, refrain from gatherings, and when being sampled, do not directly touch the medical staff’s operating table and the items on it. It’s not advisable to leave keys, mobile phones, ID cards and other items on the worktable, he added.
