Recently, the opening ceremony of the 2022 Suzhou Lili Pear Blossom Culture Festival was held online.
Lili was called Li Hua Li (Pear Blossom Town) in ancient times. Every year in April, mountain slopes and farmlands in the town are interspersed with clusters of snow-white pear blossoms. The Pear Blossom Culture Festival is a famous local cultural event, which has been held for 6 consecutive years, serving as a window showcasing the charm of Lili ancient town.
This year, the organizing committee has released a series of pear blossom-themed cultural creative products, such as enamel brooches, hollowed-out bookmarks, and book-shaped lanterns. Visitors can buy these products as well as tickets for scenic spots and local delicacies on Li Li Gou (黎礼购), an online shopping platform which was unveiled at the opening ceremony. Also, a set of WeChat emoticons featuring local delicacies was released, which is mainly aimed at foodies.
