The Office of the Provincial COVID-19 Epidemic Joint Prevention and Control Headquarters issued on April 10 the "Notice on Further Strengthening the Province's Postal Express Service to Ensure Epidemic and Ensure Smoothness" so that the province's postal express service is unimpeded.
The "Notice" emphasizes ensuring the normal operation of the postal express network, and including postal express vehicles into the scope of guaranteed passage during the epidemic prevention and control period.
On the basis of implementing relevant measures for epidemic prevention and control, the normal passage of postal express vehicles shall not be prohibited or restricted at the entrances and exits of expressways, national and provincial trunk lines, urban roads, and county and township roads.
Mail and express processing centers and business outlets, as the guarantee and supply unit of daily necessities, shall not prohibit or restrict their normal operation.
When regional closure and control are required for epidemic prevention and control, work permits or passes will be issued to mail express delivery personnel, allowing them to use the centralized mail express storage points outside the community to carry out delivery work.
At present, the province has an average daily mail delivery volume of about 13 million pieces and delivery of about 10 million pieces, a decrease of 17 million pieces and 18 million pieces respectively compared with before the epidemic.
