Jiangsu will speed up the development of rural industries focusing on the secondary and tertiary industries, and continuously improve the quality and competitiveness of the province's agricultural development, according to the "14th Five-Year Plan for Rural Industry Development of Jiangsu Province" recently issued by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
Jiangsu will spare no effort to implement the project of improving the quality and efficiency of modern agriculture, encourage each county to develop a "one village, one product" demonstration village, build a group of characteristic industrial towns, and create characteristic industrial clusters with obvious competitive advantages and strong anti-risk capabilities and improve the quality and efficiency of rural characteristic industries.
The province will strengthen the agricultural product processing industry, enhance the added value of agricultural products, cultivate and promote the new processing industry featuring "central kitchen + cold chain distribution + logistics terminal", meet the needs of urban diversification and convenience of life, and realize the diversified development of agricultural products and multi-link value-added.
Jiangsu will also expand agricultural service functions and develop new more efficient rural e-commerce models including social e-commerce and video e-commerce.
By 2025, Jiangsu will have developed 200 county-level advantageous and characteristic industries with an annual output value of more than 1 billion yuan with green and high-quality agricultural products accounting for 75% of the provincial total.
Efforts will be made to achieve an annual comprehensive income of 130 billion yuan in rural leisure tourism and agriculture, and the Internet -based sales of agricultural products will account for 16% of the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, basically building a modern rural industrial system with excellent industrial structure and high quality and efficiency.
