The provincial leadership of east China’s Jiangsu province held a meeting Wednesday to study the important speech delivered by President Xi Jinping at a gathering in Beijing on Tuesday to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China. Wu Zhenglong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, attended and delivered a speech.
Wu Zhenglong pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the gathering celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China is of strong political, ideological, strategic and instructive nature, sounding a new horn to promote the vigorous development of youth development.
He said General Secretary Xi's important speech is a programmatic document shining with the light of Marxist truth as it points out the way forward and provides fundamental guidelines for the Chinese youth movement and youth work in the new era, which will surely gather the majestic strength of hundreds of millions of young people who are striving for the first place on the national rejuvenation track.
Wu Zhenglong pointed out that Jiangsu is one of the earliest regions in the country to establish youth league organizations and carry out youth movements, adding that over the past 100 years, the Communist Youth League organizations at all levels in Jiangsu have always regarded adhering to the party's leadership as their political life and political belief.
The CPC provincial chief asked league organizations and youth at all levels in the province to follow General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech by gaining insight into the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
He hoped that the Communist Youth League organizations in Jiangsu would more consciously arm their minds with the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, take the initiative to integrate their personal dreams into the torrent of the times of national rejuvenation, take the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as their responsibility, strive to be dreamers of great ideals, forge ahead in a new journey, and make contributions to a new era.
Wu Zhenglong hoped that party committees at all levels in the province must adhere to the party's leadership over youth, devote great enthusiasm to studying the law of youth growth and the characteristics of the times, and devote great energy to youth work, so as to be the confidantes of young friends, enthusiasts of youth work, and the guide of young people.
