Tencent launched its smart energy platform in Taizhou, Jiangsu on Wednesday, as part of the local government's major project "Cloud Signing" and the global launch of the smart energy platform.
The smart energy platform jointly sponsored by Tencent Cloud and Ganghua Energy will start from the new energy industrial park, build and apply rooftop distributed photovoltaics in the park, and create a one-stop green "zero-carbon park" for photovoltaics, energy storage and charging. The project is expected to reduce carbon emissions by hundreds of thousands of tons each year.
Based on the capabilities of the Internet of Things, the smart energy platform will provide various digital applications such as energy and carbon monitoring, low-carbon energy conservation, intelligent operation and maintenance, green and low-carbon, energy and carbon trading, and auxiliary services through scientific coordination of energy assets and systems.
Hailing District of Taizhou will further accelerate the construction of rooftop photovoltaics to ensure that the new installed capacity will reach 100MW during the year, build a perfect rooftop photovoltaic investment and operation platform, and give full play to the role of the smart energy platform, gradually realize energy budget management, and ensure the establishment of a high-quality rooftop distributed photovoltaic development pilot demonstration area.
Sun Qun, Secretary of the Hailing District Committee of Taizhou City, and Zhou Yinsong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hailing District Committee of Taizhou City and Director of the Organization Department, presided over the unveiling ceremony of the Hailing District Investment Promotion Center.
Hailing District signed virtual contracts for 12 major projects, involving new energy, new materials, cultural tourism industries and other fields, with a total investment of about 11.24 billion yuan.
"The average investment of 12 projects exceeds 500 million yuan and the maximum investment of a single project exceeds 5 billion yuan. These contracted projects have a strong industrial chain orientation. The 12 contracted projects belong to the district's leading industrial chain projects which fully conform to the district's industrial advantages and industrial planning. We have achieved very fast efficiency in promoting investment promotion, 12 projects were completed through online negotiation and cloud signing during the epidemic prevention and control period," said Xu Jun, Member of the Party Leadership Group of Hailing District Commerce Bureau, Director of Hailing District Investment Promotion Center.
