5月28日，2022“守护长江微笑 携手共话友情”第三批“南京城市国际化紫金友好使者”选聘仪式在长江之畔举行。扬子石化—巴斯夫有限责任公司总裁杨晟，博西家用电器投资（中国）有限公司总裁唐善达，LG新能源中国区CFO、南京公司副总经理申东焕等12位来自经贸、教育、文化等不同领域的在宁外籍人士，获得第三批“南京城市国际化紫金友好使者”称号。

The 2022 Awarding Ceremony of Zijin Friendship Ambassador of Nanjing Urban Internationalization was held on May 28 in Nanjing. International friends living in Nanjing that have been devoted to the city’s development, including Bram Jansen, President of BASF-YPC Company Limited, Dr. Alexander G. C. Dony, President of Bosch Siemens Household Goods (BSH) Greater China, SHIN DONG WHAN, CFO of LG New Energy Solution Great China and Deputy General Manager of LG Energy Solution Technology (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. were awarded with the honor.

本次活动由南京市城市国际化推进办公室作为指导单位，南京市商务局、南京市人民政府外事办公室、鼓楼区人民政府、江苏省广电总台国际频道共同主办，鼓楼区城市国际化推进办公室、下关滨江管委会承办。南京市副市长、南京市城市国际化推进办公室主任林涛出席活动并为国际友人颁发聘书。
This ceremony was guided by the Promotion Office of Nanjing Urban Internationalization, organized by the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Foreign Affairs Office of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, Gulou District People’s Government, and Jiangsu International Channel, and co-hosted by the Promotion Office of Gulou Urban Internationalization. Lin Tao, Vice Mayor of Nanjing and Director of the Promotion Office of Nanjing Urban Internationalization, attended the ceremony and presented letters of appointment to international friends.

自2020年开始，南京市城市国际化推进办公室启动了“南京城市国际化紫金友好使者”的选聘活动，以进一步加深外籍人士对南京经济社会发展的了解，通过国际友人的视角提升南京城市国际化形象。目前已选聘三批共36位国际友人担任“南京城市国际化紫金友好使者”，为促进南京城市开放发展、扩大中外友好交往贡献了积极力量。
Since 2020, the Promotion Office of Nanjing Urban Internationalization has launched a campaign to appoint the "Zijin Friendship Ambassador of Nanjing Urban Internationalization" as an effort to further deepen foreigners’ understanding of Nanjing. 36 international friends have been appointed as "Zijin Friendship Ambassador of Nanjing Urban Internationalization" so far.

Thanks to the joint efforts of many international friends who make Nanjing their home, Nanjing has gained its reputation in urban development and world influence in recent years. This event focuses on the theme of Yangtze finless porpoise protection, talking about the aquatic biodiversity of the Yangtze River and the importance of environmental protection.

扬子石化—巴斯夫有限责任公司总裁杨晟在接受采访时表示，可持续性一直属于扬子石化-巴斯夫公司的核心价值，长江是中国最重要的自然资源和生态系统之一，因此我们应该共同关注长江大保护。去年扬子巴斯夫是最主要的可再生能源先驱者，是南京范围可持续性最强的化工企业之一。扬子巴斯夫计划在近期达到100%的清洁电能目标，并持续升级设施，应用最新技术，提升能源效率。
Bram Jansen, President of BASF-YPC Company Limited said during the interview that sustainability is at the core of BASF-YPC. Yangtze River is one of the major natural resources and eco-systems in China, which he thinks people need to work together to take care of. Last year, BASF-YPC was the biggest pilot to trade renewable energy, which makes the company one of the most sustainable chemical companies in Nanjing. BASF-YPC will continue to upgrade our assets, apply the latest technology and improve the efficiency to have 100% green electricity in the very near future.

南京一直以来都积极致力于长江大保护的工作，也是全国唯一在市中心长江段，可以看到野生江豚的城市。江豚，被称为长江中的“微笑天使”，是目前长江中唯一幸存的哺乳动物，被称为“水中大熊猫”，2021年正式成为国家一级保护动物。为了保护江豚，南京在2015成立了南京江豚水生生物保护协会，致力于长江江豚的保护宣传工作。不仅有很多南京当地市民加入了志愿者的行列，很多外籍友人，也加入其中，担当起保护江豚、保护长江的责任。
Dedicated to the protection of the Yangtze River, Nanjing is the only city in China where wild finless porpoise makes frequent appearance in the Yangtze River section downtown. Finless porpoise, known as the “smiling angel” of the Yangtze River and the only surviving mammals living in the Yangtze River, officially has become China’s first-class protected animal since 2021.

美国的包瑞德是南京晓庄学院一名英语教师，多年来一直观察江豚，捕捉下它们最自然的状态。在接受采访时，包瑞德说，在南京这样一座大都市，市民能够在城市里近在咫尺地看到江豚等珍稀野生动物，而江豚也能够和人们共生，这在世界上其他地方是不容易看到的。平日在学校里，包瑞德也会和学生们分享自己所拍摄的江豚等野生动物的摄影作品，希望更多年轻人关注生态保护，保护好生态南京的山水城林，保护好人与动物的共同家园。活动现场还举行了“长江江豚保护志愿者”称号的授予仪式。
Brad Baudler, volunteer and teacher, shared that he learned that finless porpoises are very rare and need our protection, and he loves taking photos of finless porpoises and share with other people, and sometimes he introduces it to his students. He hoped people could give more attention to finless porpoises and the ecological environment. At the ceremony, 6 expats were granted the title Protection Volunteer of Yangtze Finless Porpoise.
