Huai'an Trade Union Federation for Road Transportation Industry held its first congress on June 28, in which the members of the first committee, the fund review committee, and the women workers' committee were elected. The federation covers the industries of cargo transportation, long-distance passenger transportation, and taxi.
The road transportation industry in Huai'an has boomed in recent years and absorbed more and more labor force. The statistics indicate that Huai'an has 21503 road transportation enterprises, 36923 truck drivers, 19 online ride-hailing platforms, 16 ride-hailing companies, and 2245 online ride-hailing drivers. The federation will play a crucial role in strengthening the management of the road transport industry, promoting the healthy development of road transport enterprises, and accelerating the construction of a modern comprehensive transportation system.
