The Suqian Municipal Bureau of Commerce, together with the Customs and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, launched the city’s inaugural cross-border e-commerce innovation and entrepreneurship competition on the afternoon of June 30 in a bid to help foreign trade enterprises explore the international market and boost development.
Focusing on cross-border e-commerce operation skills in terms of the cross-border e-commerce platform business, this competition is divided into a rookie group and a demonstration group. Through certificate training, practical training, and final roadshow competition, the competition evaluates the online training, ability test, and on-the-spot coaching of the contestants.
"It is hoped that this cross-border e-commerce live broadcast competition can help cross-border e-commerce enterprises in Suqian to embark on a fast development path during the current opportunity period of the epidemic recovery."said Liu Juan, Director of Strategic Development Department of Alibaba Group.
The competition attracted nearly 100 people from more than 90 traditional foreign trade enterprises including Jilong Sports and Leisure and Jingcheng Intelligent Technology, as well as cross-border e-commerce enterprises including Green Wood Products and Zhanxin Tourism Products.
"Many companies, especially manufacturing companies,need to have an atmosphere to stimulate awareness of cross-border e-commerce.Such activities are conducive to guiding enterprises to continuously improve the awareness of cross-border e-commerce and explore the international market."said Xiao Xiang, Director of Foreign Trade Division, Suqian Municipal Bureau of Commerce.
The first-ever cross-border e-commerce innovation and entrepreneurship competition in Suqian is expected to further stimulate the new vitality of the city's cross-border e-commerce innovation and entrepreneurship, and comprehensively empower the innovative development of cross-border e-commerce new formats and models, as well as the cultivation of cross-border e-commerce professionals.
