The 12th Congress of the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce opened in Nanjing on Monday. Wu Zhenglong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, delivered a speech and met with the delegates. Governor Xu Kunlin and Zhang Yizhen, Chairwoman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, attended the meeting.
Wu Zhenglong pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions and important instructions on the development of the private economy have pointed out the direction and provided guidelines for the high-quality development of the private economy in the new era.
He said the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government have implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions and important instructions, and made every effort to promote the healthy development of the province's private economy.
The CPC provincial chief remarked that Jiangsu ranks at the forefront of high-quality development in the country by building a well-off society at a high level in an all-round way, which is inseparable from the important contributions made by private enterprises as well as federations of industry and commerce at all levels.
Noting that in the new journey, the province's private enterprises and federations of industry and commerce at all levels have brighter prospects, Wu Zhenglong hoped that private enterprises will strengthen their confidence in development, adhere to scientific and technological self-reliance, bravely shoulder heavy burdens, overcome difficulties, and achieve greater development.
He hoped that private entrepreneurs will keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, take social responsibility, play an active role in implementing new development concepts, build a new development pattern, and promote high-quality development, take active actions in promoting green and low-carbon development and safe development, and make more contributions to solidly promoting common prosperity.
Party committees and governments at all levels must thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions and the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee, further promote the formation of a market environment, policy environment, and legal environment conducive to the development of the private economy, promote the formation of a strong atmosphere of respecting and caring for entrepreneurs, focus on building a transparent and honest government-business relationship, and continuously create a new situation for the high-quality development of the private economy in the province.
Wu Zhenglong asked all departments at all levels and private entrepreneurs in the province to coordinate development and safety, strive to regain the time delayed by the epidemic, regain the losses suffered, and strive to complete the annual economic and social development goals and tasks to welcome the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with practical actions.
