The people’s political consultative conference in the Yangtze River Delta will make further efforts to promote the construction of major scientific and technological innovation platforms in the Yangtze River Delta region, according to an inspection tour conducted in Suzhou on Wednesday.

They agreed that the party committees and governments of the three provinces and one municipality thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches, promoted the construction of major scientific and technological innovation platforms, and achieved a series of original and breakthrough results, providing strong scientific and technological support for high-quality development.
Zhang Yizhen said that the CPPCC must continuously enhance its political stance, effectively enhance the awareness of action to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, fulfill the responsibility of helping the construction of major science and technology innovation platforms in the Yangtze River Delta, serve the construction of the scientific and technological innovation community in the Yangtze River Delta, and welcome the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with practical actions.
Cao Lubao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, delivered a speech at the meeting and briefed the leaders on the overall situation of Suzhou's epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development.
