From January to July, 1979 enterprise investment projects were approved and filed in Huai'an, with a year-on-year increase of 29.09%. The estimated total investment was 303.107 billion yuan, with a growth of 23.08% over the same period last year.
The number of approved and registered enterprise investment projects and the estimated total investment increased year on year in Qingjiangpu District, Huaiyin District, Huai'an District, Lianshui County, Hongze District, Jinhu County, Xuyi County, and the Economic and Technological Development zone. And Xuyi County ranked first in both project number and total investment, which were 338 and 50.474 billion yuan, respectively, up 39.09% and 46.05% year on year.
The investment in the secondary industry topped the total investment in Huai'an. There are 173 primary industry projects, up 51.75% year-on-year. The estimated total investment was about 25.612 billion yuan, up 113.58 % compared to the same period of the previous year, accounting for 8% of the estimated total investment in Huai'an. There were 1,329 secondary industry projects, an increase of 31.98% over the same period last year. The estimated total investment was 178.81 billion yuan, up 3.94% year on year, taking up 59% of the estimated total investment. The tertiary industry projects totaled 477, a year-on-year increase of 15.78%. The estimated gross investment was about 98.68 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 58.54%, accounting for 33% of the estimated total investment of Huai'an.
