East China’s Jiangsu province has recently released the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the construction of urban and rural community service system in a bid to improve the province's urban and rural community service system and continuously enhance the people's sense of gain and happiness.
By the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan", Jiangsu will have basically built an urban and rural community service system that is commensurate with the level of economic and social development, promote the construction of beautiful and harmonious communities, and improve the precision, refinement and intelligence of urban and rural community services.
According to the 12 major development indicators set in the "Plan", Jiangsu will have a community comprehensive service facility area of 30 square meters for every 100 residents, and more than 18 community workers for every 10,000 urban permanent residents.
Jiangsu will also ensure that 90% of communities accept the general practice service model, all residents in need can receive timely visits, 18% of the elderly at home can receive door-to-door services, and all counties can carry out urban and rural community-based rehabilitation services for mental disorders.
