The Jiangsu provincial government held on Wednesday a video conference on stable economic growth to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s recent important speeches and important instructions, analyze the current economic situation and study and arrange key tasks for the next stage. Governor Xu Kunlin presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
Xu Kunlin pointed out that Jiangsu, as a major economic province, has a great responsibility in the overall situation of the country's stable growth.
He asked all local governments to enhance the level of efficient overall planning, go all out to promote economic construction, solidly expand investment, promote consumption, stabilize exports, consolidate the positive trend of economic recovery, and ensure the best results for the year.
Xu Kunlin asked all localities to make greater efforts to stabilize enterprises and strengthen industrial chains, effectively improve the resilience and competitiveness of industrial and supply chains, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry, consolidate the positive trend of the industrial economy, deepen reform and opening up, and promote a number of major reform,continue to optimize the business environment, and stimulate market vitality and endogenous power.
The governor said Jiangsu will go all out to fight drought and achieve a bumper harvest, scientifically dispatch water conservancy projects, fully guarantee agricultural use of water, consolidate and improve grain production capacity, and continue to ensure supply and price of important agricultural and sideline products.
Xu Kunlin noted that efforts should be made to effectively ensure employment, basic livelihood and market entities, strengthen epidemic prevention and control, work safety, risk prevention and mitigation, and resolutely adhere to the bottom line of safe development to ensure overall social harmony and stability.
