East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress against the sweltering heatwave so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development.
As the last concrete was poured into the trough on Wednesday, the 128-meter continuous beam of the Nantong Port Railway Cross-Ningqi Railway Super Bridge was closed, marking the completion of the main project of second section of the Nantong Port Railway.
The joining of the continuous beam is also the last of its kind of the Nantong Port Railway Project. The beam has a total length of 281.6 meters and is located on a curve with a radius of 600 meters, making it of high risk in construction and high safety protection requirements for road-related construction.
In order to ensure the safety factor of the cantilever pouring construction, the construction party adjusted the consolidation of the original pier top to external consolidation to meet the safety requirements.
With a total length of 24.481 kilometers, the first phase of the Nantong Port Railway project is scheduled to open to traffic by the end of this year. The railway will connect the Nantong Port Tonghai Port Area to the Tongzhou Bay Port Area Railway to come up with a river-sea combined transportation system.
The shield machine "Juli No. 1" has broken through 500 rings on the left line of the Jiangyin Jingjiang Yangtze River Tunnel, with a total of 1,000 meters of excavation, indicating that the project tunnel construction has achieved phased results.
The shield section of the left line is 4937.19 meters long, which causes difficulties such as super-large diameter, super-high water pressure, and super-long-distance excavation. During the process of shield excavation, the settlement control is required to be high, and the construction is difficult. The excavation process has high requirements for shield settlement control, which means that the construction is difficult.
"We count and analyze the operating parameters of the shield machine and the monitoring data on the ground every day to ensure the smooth progress of the construction," said Shi Zhipeng, Chief Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, Jiangyin-Jingjiang Yangtze River Tunnel Project Department, CCCC Tunnel Bureau.
The 11.8-kilometer Jiangyin-Jingjiang Yangtze River Tunnel is constructed as a two-way 6-lane tunnel with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The tunnel will effectively relieve the traffic pressure of Jiangyin Yangtze River Bridge and enhance the traffic capacity of the Yangtze River Trunk Line.
