Merck's Semiconductor Integration Base kicked off construction in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou yesterday.
Headquartered in Germany, Merck is a world-leading science and technology company specializing in medical health, life science and electronics technology.
Located in Jiangsu Yangtze River International Chemical Industrial Park, the base is Merck's largest single electronics business investment in China and will integrate production, storage, logistics and distribution, producing semiconductor precursors and electronic special gases and storing hazardous chemicals.
According to Allan Gabor, President of Merck China and EVP Electronics Merck China, the opening of the semiconductor base will further strengthen Merck's strategic layout in the Yangtze River Delta region so that the company can provide its local clients and partners in China with comprehensive technical services and customized material solutions in a faster manner.
