East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for high quality development. JSBC has the story.
At the Huangshagang toll station on the main line of the Yancheng-Sheyang expressway, workers were seen carving anti-skid patterns on the concrete pavement.
As the largest entrance and exit of the Yancheng-Sheyang Expressway, the Huangshagang Toll Station has a total of 11 toll gates, and it has entered the final assembly stage.
The Yancheng-Sheyang Expressway starts from Riyue Island in the east and connects with Shenhai Expressway in the west. The 22.5-kilometer-highway is designed as a two-way four-lane road with a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The pavement asphalt paving is expected to be completed by the end of October.
Guan Jingjing, Chief Engineer of Yanshe Expressway Pavement Engineering SY-21 Project
So far we have laid 60% of the asphalt. More than 200 workers are working overtime to make the final sprint to open to traffic before the end of the year.
When opening to traffic, the expressway will greatly ease the traffic pressure in the main urban area. It will also seamlessly connect with the Yancheng high-speed rail network and fully integrate into the Shanghai, Nanjing and Beijing economic circles.
