Talent summit opens in Suzhou with policies, jobs offered

The 4th G60 Yangtze River Delta Sci-tech Innovation Valley Talent Summit started in Wujiang district, Suzhou this morning, and will last for two days.

The Yangtze River Delta Sci-tech Innovation Valley was founded in 2016. Its talent summit has been hosted by nine cities in turn since 2018, namely Songjiang district in Shanghai, Jiaxing, Hangzhou, Jinhua and Huzhou in Zhejiang province, Suzhou in Jiangsu province, Xuancheng, Wuhu and Hefei in Anhui province.

Themed "Gathering Talents in the Yangtze River Delta and Accumulating Wisdom in G60," this year's summit will launch a package of policies for talents, build a number of talent cultivation service bases and form an alliance of high-level talent recruitment for the Valley. Centered on the strategic emerging industries and the digital economy, the nine cities will work together to offer nearly 15,000 jobs, covering integrated circuit, bio-medicine, high-end equipment and new materials, to talents in urgent need.

Up to now, the nine cities have attracted over 11.9 million high-level talents and skilled talents, more than 1,000 national-level talents and over 4,200 talents at and above the provincial level.
