The 32nd session of the Standing Committee of the 13th Provincial People's Congress came to a close on Thursday afternoon after successfully completing various agendas.
Wu Zhenglong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
Present at the meeting were deputy directors of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress Li Xiaomin, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress Fan Jinlong, Wang Yanwen, Xu Zhongzi, Ma Qiulin, Liu Handong, Qu Futian and Secretary General Chen Mengmeng.
Vice Governor Fang Wei, President of the Provincial Court Xia Daohu, Chief Procurator Liu Hua of the Provincial Procuratorate and Director of the Provincial Supervisory Commission attended the meeting as non-voting delegates.
The leaders passed a series of regulations and decisions, involving elderly care services, transportation construction project quality and safety production supervision, public legal services, social security card resident service cards in the Yangtze River Delta region, high-standard farmland construction, and distribution and election of deputies to the 14th People's Congress.
Approval was given to 14 regulations and regulatory decisions submitted by Nanjing and some other prefecture-level cities.

Wu Zhenglong demanded efforts to enhance political stance, gain insight into the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
Wu Zhenglong asked the people's congresses at all levels in the province to take the upcoming convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and study, publicize and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China as a major political task, and closely follow General Secretary Xi Jinping to forge a new journey and make contributions to a new era.
