Autumn grain harvest has entered its peak season in China, with 56.4 percent of autumn grain having been harvested, the Economic Information Daily reported on Wednesday.
According to official data, the integrated mechanization rate in wheat, corn and rice surpassed 97 percent, 90 percent and 85 percent, respectively.
This year will also be a bumper grain harvest to realize a target of 1.3 trillion catties (650 million tons), said Zeng Yande, head of the development and planning department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
