Xu Kunlin met Tuesday in Nanjing with Dr. Markus Kamieth, Executive Director of BASF Board of Directors.
Xu Kunlin welcomed Kamieth’s visit to Jiangsu to discuss deepening cooperation.
Xu Kunlin said that the 20th National Congress of the CPC had mapped out a grand blueprint for promoting national rejuvenation through a Chinese path to modernization.
He said Jiangsu is presently engaged in studying and implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, grasping the primary task of high-quality development, implementing the new development concept, and speeding up the efforts to build a new development paradigm, which will certainly provide a broader space for the development of foreign enterprises in Jiangsu.
The governor said that a large number of German enterprises spearheaded by BASF Group are optimistic about their investment in Jiangsu, as is evidenced by the investment of more than 2100 projects in Jiangsu.
Noting that the chemical industry is one of the pillar industries in Jiangsu, and BASF is a leading enterprise in the global chemical industry, the governor hoped that BASF would give full play to the leading, supporting and driving force of leading enterprises, launch more large projects and good projects in Jiangsu, strengthen technical cooperation and industrial cooperation, help the construction of key industrial chains in Jiangsu, and work together to promote green, low-carbon and high-quality development.
Xu Kunlin promised that Jiangsu will continue to optimize the business environment, do its best to ensure the construction of new projects, and provide more high-quality, efficient and convenient services for the development of enterprises.
Kamieth thanked Jiangsu for its strong support and help to BASF Group’s development.
He said that BASF is full of confidence in China’s development and Jiangsu’s development, adding that BASF will continue to deepen project-based technological cooperation, continue to actively launch more projects in the Jiangsu market, accelerate green and low-carbon upgrading and transformation, and make new contributions to promoting the province’s realization of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality and the high-quality development.
