The total volume of import and export in the first three quarters in Huai'an reached RMB 31.94 billion, up 16.7% year on year, of which exports and imports totaled 23.79 billion yuan and 8.15 billion yuan, up 21.4% and 4.9%, respectively.
The exports of traditional competitive products grew steadily, and the imports of some raw materials increased too. In the first three quarters, the exports of labor-intensive products, electronic, communication, and energy storage products, and chemical products reached 6.14 billion yuan, 5.17 billion yuan, and 3.86 billion yuan, up 15.4%, 12.6%, and 50.8%, respectively. At the same time, the imports of cotton, integrated circuits, milk powder, chemicals, and other production materials increased by 46.3%, 11%, 5.7%, and 6.4%, respectively.
The export and import to the United States have rebounded significantly, and the export and import to the RCEP countries have steadily increased. In the first three quarters, the trade volume to the top three trading partners, the EU, ASEAN, and the U.S., reached 5.72 billion yuan, 5.39 billion yuan, and 4.74 billion yuan, up 19%, 6.9%, and 30.7%, respectively. In the same period, the trade volume to the RCEP countries reached 10.5 billion yuan, up 10.7%, accounting for 32.9% of the total foreign trade volumes. The trade volume to South Korea and Japan reached 2.31 billion yuan and 1.99 billion yuan, up 13% and 38.1%, respectively. In addition, the trade volume to the countries along the "Belt and Road" reached 9.58 billion yuan, up 13.7%.
