Leaders of the Provincial People’s Congress of east China's Jiangsu province exchanged views on bilateral ties during a virtual meeting Monday afternoon with leaders of Jeollabuk-do Provincial Assembly of the Republic of Korea.
Fan Jinlong, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, attended the event and delivered a speech. President of the Jeollabuk-do Provincial Assembly delivered a speech, and Vice President of the Jeollabuk-do Provincial Assembly attended the event.
Fan Jinlong said that Jiangsu and the Jeollabuk-do Province jointly planned and held a series of exchange activities to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the ROK and the Year of Cultural Exchange between China and the ROK.
Fan said that since the establishment of friendly relations in 1994, the two provinces have witnessed obvious agglomeration effects, fruitful economic and trade cooperation results, and splendid people to people and cultural exchanges.
He spoke highly of the exchanges around legislation and supervision issues the legislative bodies of the two sides have carried out and the efforts that have actively promoted exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, sports and youth.
Fan Jinlong said Jiangsu is willing to further strengthen ties with the Jeollabuk-do Provincial Assembly, build a friendship platform, promote practical exchanges, and make greater contributions to the long-term and healthy development of bilateral relations.
President of the Jeollabuk-do Provincial Assembly said in his speech that this exchange activity focused on the construction of China South Korea industrial parks and the exchange of students, which is of great significance for the two sides to explore new cooperation at a new starting point.
Jeollabuk-do Province looks forward to further expanding cooperation areas with Jiangsu to further consolidate the friendship between the two sides.
Representatives from the economic, trade, investment and education departments of the two provincial governments, industrial parks and universities exchanged views at the video conference.
