Wu Zhenglong stressed that efforts should be made to study, publicize and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress by gaining insight into the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era.
He called for efforts to cultivate talents more consciously in accordance with the ideology of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, give priority to the development of education, promote self-reliance in science and technology, implement a talent-driven development strategy, and training all-round socialist builders and successors.

When inspecting the Institute of Robotic Sensing and Control Technology of Southeast University, Wu Zhenglong carefully inquired about the scientific and technological innovation in manned space flight and lunar exploration projects, and in helping the elderly and the disabled recover.
He said that the current new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation has accelerated the evolution, adding that the new generation of information technology, biotechnology, new energy, and new materials are deeply integrated with robot technology, making the robot industry a window period of upgrading and leapfrog development.

Wu Zhenglong also made a deep understanding of the main research directions of the biomedical engineering discipline, as well as the basic principles and latest applications of biomedical chip technology. He encouraged teachers and students to carry forward the glorious tradition and fine style of study, focus on frontier areas, promote the integrated development of multiple disciplines, and constantly make major breakthroughs in key core technologies and bottleneck areas to better protect people's life safety and health.
