In recent years, Jiangsu has adhered to the development of automobile as a pillar industry, promoted the construction of key industrial chains of new energy vehicles, Internet of Vehicles and intelligent connected vehicles as a whole, and actively cultivated new technologies, new formats and new applications.
In the first three quarters of this year, Jiangsu reported the production and sales of 1.121 million cars and 1.107 million cars, a year-on-year growth of 30.7% and 30.4%.
The province registered production and sales of 438 thousand and 418 thousand new energy vehicles respectively, with year-on-year growth of 191.7% and 189.2%.
Jiangsu ranks foremost in the country in the construction of connected vehicle networking infrastructure, application scenarios and industrial ecology.
Jiangsu has built a power battery capacity of 33.296-billion-watt hours and a capacity under construction of 25.137-billion-watt hours, ranking first in China.
