As one of the most renowned dance artists in China, Yang Liping was crowned as "Peacock Princess". Now she is bringing her latest work, the 2022 version of her masterpiece "The Peacock", to the audience of Nanjing with 5 performances at Nanjing Poly Grand Theatre from Nov. 24th to Nov. 27th.
本月24-27日，被称作“孔雀公主”的舞蹈艺术家杨丽萍将带着她的新作品——2022版舞剧《孔雀》来到南京保利大剧院，用5场演出为观众带来全新的舞台盛宴。

The dance drama is an upgrade of the original 2012 version, which was performed at Nanjing Poly Grand Theatre in 2015. This year, the 2022 version will be one of the featured titles for Poly’s 8th anniversary, and Ms. Yang, as its director and special performer, was presented with a traditional Chinese seal as a gift at the press conference for the show.
该舞剧改编自2012年版舞剧《孔雀》，2015年就曾在南京保利大剧院上演。时隔十年，新版《孔雀》作为南京保利大剧院8周年演出季重磅演出来到南京。作为纪念，南京保利大剧院在舞剧媒体见面会上为杨丽萍送上了刻有其姓名的定制篆刻章，纪念这段珍贵的缘分。

The new version is greatly distinct from the original one as the dances, stage design and costumes were revised and upgraded, according to Yang. The drama consists of four chapters – Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, while Yang herself will participate in the final chapter of Winter. ”I designed two special dances in this chapter for myself: the dying peacock finds her inner peace in the freeze, and then goes to nirvana and gets reborn,” said Yang. “It’s such a unique experience to touch the eternity of life in an instant on the stage.”
据介绍，本次舞剧与2012版相比升级颇多，舞蹈编排、舞台、服装等都得到提升。全剧包含春、夏、秋、冬四个篇章，而杨丽萍本人也会参与“冬”之篇章的表演。杨丽萍谈到自己参演的部分时说：“我在冬天的篇章中特别地为自己编了两段舞蹈，一段是失去挚爱而垂死的孔雀，在冬天的悲凉环境中找到心灵的安宁；第二段是她走向涅槃，重获新生。能够在舞台上以这样的形式用一瞬间去感受生命的永恒，这让我很有感触。”

A photography exhibition, created by stage photographer Zhao Hui and his team, was also launched at Poly Theatre highlighting works that captured the essence of Yang’s dance art.
见面会同时还启动了《舞者生晖——我眼中的孔雀公主》摄影展，汇集专业舞台摄影师赵晖及其团队跟随杨丽萍13年拍摄凝练后的精粹，充分展示杨丽萍舞蹈艺术的魅力。
