East China’s Jiangsu province recorded more than 300 billion yuan of imports and exports to Latin America in the first 10 months, latest customs statistics show.
As a national top export base for wool trade, Zhangjiagang is actively exploring international markets including Latin America.

In view of the situation that Zhangjiagang has gathered a large number of wool textile enterprises,we guided wool textile enterprises to implement classified management,improve production management level,urge enterprises to continuously improve their self-inspection and self-control capabilities,improve product quality,continue to optimize the port business environment,and provide strong support for accelerating the export of wool products.
The local government has also set up the China Wool Chamber of Commerce Information Exchange Platform to guide enterprises to better study international trade rules, give play to the overall advantages of the industry, and enhance the right to say on the international market.
Taicang Customs has actively established the working mode of "front duty+background support", constantly expanded the coverage of "Internet plus+" inspection, received enterprise appointments in real time, and realized the inspection, customs declaration and export on the same day.
Jiangsu and Latin America are highly complementary in trade and have great potential for bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Since this year, Jiangsu has imported 60.14 billion yuan of soybeans from Latin America, a year-on-year increase of more than 70%. Solar cells, textiles and chemicals made in Jiangsu are popular in Latin American markets. From January to October, Jiangsu recorded 316.98 billion yuan of imports and exports to Latin American countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Cuba, with a year-on-year growth of 23.4%, a record high in history.
