The CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee held the 22nd Standing Committee Meeting of the 12th CPPCC on Thursday to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress. Zhang Yizhen, Chairwoman of the CPPCC Provincial Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
Ning Jizhe, member of the Central Publicity Group and deputy director of the Economic Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, delivered a report on the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress.
10 members of the CPPCC Provincial Committee delivered speeches at the meeting. They unanimously agreed that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is a conference to hold high the banner, rally strength, and forge ahead in unity, which makes it necessary to consciously follow the spirit of the 20th National Congress in accordance with the deployment and requirements of the CPPCC National Committee and the CPC Provincial Committee, actively offer advice and suggestions for the new practice of comprehensively promoting Chinese path to modernization in Jiangsu, better gather consensus, and contribute wisdom and strength to shoulder a new mission and write a new chapter.
Zhang Yizhen asked the provincial CPPCC to comprehensively learn, grasp and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress by gaining insight into the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era.
She asked the CPPCC Provincial Committee to accurately understand and grasp the latest deployment of the report of the 20th CPC National Congress on the work of the CPPCC in the new era, give full play to the important role of the CPPCC in adhering to and developing people's democracy throughout the process, and highlight more CPPCC actions in the new practice of comprehensively promoting Chinese path to modernization in Jiangsu.
