East China’s Jiangsu province has reported adequate market supply of meat and aquatic products with prices of vegetables on the stable side.
At the Wangjiaxiang Vegetable Farm in Zhenjiang, the price of meat, eggs and aquatic products has remained stable, and the price of scapular meat has stabilized at about 34 yuan per kg, which has basically remained stable since the beginning of winter. However, the prices of many vegetables have risen significantly.
In Liyang, 120 tons of vegetables and nearly 300 tons of frozen meat are supplied to the Bianjie Market every day.
Suzhou Nanhuanqiao Wholesale Market transported fresh vegetables from Yunnan, Guangdong and northern Jiangsu.
Taizhou increased market supervision and strictly prevented such acts as taking the opportunity to drive up prices.
In order to ensure the supply of vegetables in the market, agricultural technicians from Wuxi, Xuzhou and Huai'an visited the countryside to guide farmers on how to overcome the adverse effects of the cold wave on vegetables.
