This year, the departments concerned carried out farmland evaluation in Huai'an for the first time, resulting in municipal farmland protection sites in two counties, eight towns (streets), and nineteen villages. They provided 19.8 million yuan incentive funds and formed a new mechanism for farmland protection of "responsibility + incentive, administration + market".
Six national landscaping projects declared by Huai'an were successfully selected into the second batch of integrated protection and restoration projects of mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes, grass, and sand by the central government during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, a breakthrough in Huai'an. The projects received a subsidy of 114.33 million yuan from the central government for 2022 and a subsidy of 90.84 million yuan from the provincial government, totaling 205.17 million yuan.
